STEPPING OUTSIDE OF OUR COMFORT ZONES…

A while ago, I spoke about how I was feeling too comfortable in my own little world; I'm pretty happy just going along with how I'm experiencing life at the moment.

But for me, this can only last for so long. There comes a time when I have to rethink, reconnect or reposition myself in a way where I feel some form of pressure or unease. I need to be pushed in a direction that allows me to learn something new or enables my business to grow to its next evolutionary step.

I've made many new connections on my social media channels, from charity organisations to corporate clients, working with small business owners, and I'm enjoying working with them all. This year I hope to find or discover new collaborators to work with, and I'm sure I will.

Embracing new experiences can do more to enrich one's life and business career. And those new experiences could definitely change your life and the direction of your career.

Did you ever hear the advice about how (if you play tennis) you should always play tennis with someone who is a better player than you are? That's true in many areas of our lives and careers. Think about where you want to be in your career. You may already know or be aware of people in that place. If you're going to be successful like them, shouldn't you hang out with successful people?

I'm always looking to push myself with my photography. I love finding new ways that will push me mentally and creatively, but here's the thing, I learnt a while ago that I'm happy to fail with my ideas and concepts - it may have cost some money and a lot of my time. But It's the learning why I've been unable to progress, which is essential, so I learn from it, and then I move on.

Many of us are so afraid of failure that we would instead do nothing other than taking a shot at our dreams.

Many highly successful people failed plenty of times before they succeeded.

When was the last time you stepped out of your comfort zone and did something new and adventurous? Or what's the one thing that you'd like to do which means you stepping outside of the norm for yourself?
